The Peregrinator's proposAL

FRANK BURGERS

24 March 2025 - 23 May 2025

Why obsolete English language? Roots are what we as artists respond to. There are no moving forwards, without learning from the established past. Artists seek fresh engagement from creative experiments and experiences; the eternal reach for inspiration drives the artist on. Art, the best boredom beater.

I’m bringing together a small selection of work from over the last 25 years. Work that speaks to me still and reveals consistent tendencies in my art making. I do not believe in style as a purpose. Personality is revealed in preferred choices for art making, that unifies a body of work over many years.

For me, painting evolves organically, in response to the immediate environment and experiences. The intuitive is tempered by applied logic, to find resolutions to painting.

My proposal is to enjoy the journey, keep fighting dull and repressing repetitions, and to seek out truths.
